… FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT MONDAY AFTERNOON…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A FIRE WEATHER WATCH… WHICH IS IN EFFECT MONDAY AFTERNOON.

SUNNY DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED MONDAY AFTERNOON WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES FALLING INTO THE 20S AND NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING TO 20 TO 25 MPH. THESE FACTORS WILL COMBINE WITH A DRY GROUND TO INCREASE THE FIRE WEATHER THREAT MONDAY AFTERNOON.

A FIRE WEATHER WATCH MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST TO OCCUR. LISTEN FOR LATER FORECASTS AND POSSIBLE RED FLAG WARNINGS.
